Client: Ohio State’s College of Nursing, Community Health Workers training program, Columbus, Ohio (May 2020).

Project: The Circulatory System and Associated Diseases is a self-paced online module created by a design team (Fan Xu, Chenxi Liu, Barbara Price, Ali Osman, Brock Hertzfeld) enrolled in Ohio State’s Applied Instructional Design. This module won the Crystal Award (2nd place) presented by the Association for Educational Communications & Technology, Division of Distance Learning. This award recognizes innovative and outstanding multimedia-based distance education courses or multimedia-based distance learning projects.

Project: The Digital Citizenship – High School Edition was created as part of Iowa State’s Advanced Learning Environments Design course. The design team addressed the needs of public high schools in Iowa and Pennsylvania regarding digital citizenship.

Dr. Correia served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Althea Augustine Technology Learning Center, Lincoln Heights, Ohio (2018-2021).

The Althea Augustine Technology Learning Center was established to implement a vision for a 21st-century technology center for children, adults, and seniors in the community of Lincoln Heights, Ohio. The center offers a newly designed program on Digital Equity and Technology Infusion. It addresses specific content areas (STEM, Literacy, Health) and activities directly tied to the center's educational and charitable purpose and mission. Professor Emerita Patricia R. Leigh is the current President and Chair of the Board of Directors.
